It has proved of value to appoint men who deal with the organizational tasks, and take the responsibility. The town’s administration explicitly insisted on the formation of such a committee when they authorized Schemenlaufen in 1908. The following officers are elected at the Fasnacht assembly on January 6 and stay in office until the next Schemenlaufen – they form the committee.
In the weeks preceding Fasnacht the committee holds meetings at least once a week to discuss all the open questions and to assign tasks. Of course the committee also has a lot to do between two Fasnachten, for example, organizing events for the House of Fasnacht or meeting with media or public authorities.
