Description oft the awards from left to right:
- The Österreichisches Museumsgütesiegel (Austrian Museum’s Quality Seal) for which the museum had to fulfill a whole variety of different criteria. Sometimes anonymous visitors are sent to test a museum that has applied for the Seal. The Seal is awarded for a limited period of time only, and gets renewed if the quality standard has been repeatedly certified.
- The Museumspreis des Landes Tirol (Tirolean Museum’s Award) awarded by the provincial government of Tirol is also bound to the fulfillment of certain conditions; nowadays the prize mainly goes to projects.
- The so called Spirit Award was granted in 2007 by the Austrian Ministry of Education, Culture and Arts for a project by two local schools (Hauptschule Oberstadt; HAK Imst) and a South Tirolean school (Mittelschule Tramin). The jury appreciated the project in such a way that the Austrian Spirit Awards seemed justified.
